Tough lessons for Lekeasha

Lekeasha Johnson was selected for the Continental team and was in attendance for Team Africa at the recently held 2015 ITTF World Cadet Challenge,23 Oct 2015 – 31 Oct 2015, in Sharm El-Sheikh, EGYPT.

The outing started with an extensive training camp hosted by Swedish Coach and Olympian, Peter Karlsonn. This proved to be a hard camp for her as she had just come from another International training camp held in Cape Town under the guidance of Norwegian Coach, Jan Berner.

She was selected to play in the first team match and managed to keep her nerve but the opposition from Team Asia was just too strong for her. Team Africa was beaten by Teams from Asia, Europe and the World Hopes team.

She however was in an extremely strong group of Anastasia Kolish (RUS)who beat her (11-7, 11-4, 11-5) and CHOI Haeeun  (KOR) to whom she also lost to in 3 games (11-3, 11-4, 11-2). This ended the journey for her in Sharm El-Sheikh.
